He was stationed at RAF Peplow and RAF Wickenby. Aircraft flow in were Wellington and Lancaster. He flew a total of 20 operations with 626 squadron, being shot down on his 27th operation and baling out. Targets were Karlsruhe, Essen, Ludwigshaven, Ulm, Bonn, Nuremberg, Munich, Wiesbaden, Kleve, Dresden, Chemnitz, Dortmund, Duisburg, Pforzheim, Dessau, Kassel, and Gelsenkirchen. His pilot for his first 'second dickie' operation was Flight Lieutenant Blenner Hasset.

Pilots flying log book for John Cox, covering the period from 14 June 1944 to 16 March 1945. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RAF Newton, RAF Peplow, RAF Sandtoft, RAF Hemswell, RAF Wickenby, POW Triesdorf, RAF Cosford, RAF Folkingham and RAF Mongewell Park. Aircraft flown in were, Oxford, Anson, Wellington, Halifax, Lancaster and Lincoln. He flew a total of 2 Daylight and 18 night time operations with 626 Squadron before going missing on his 21st operation to Nuremburg and becoming a prisoner of war. Targets were, Karlsruhe, Essen, Ludwigshaven, Ulm, Bonn, Gelsenkirchen, Nuremberg, Munich, Wiesbaden, Kleve, Dresden, Chemnitz, Dortmund, Duisburg, Pforzheim, Dessau and Kassel. His pilot for his first 'second dickie' operation was Flight Lieutenant Glenner Hasset. Following his repatriation in May 1945, it lists his flying in June 1946 and August 1949, also his civilian flying from Biggin Hill in 1969.

Describes operations by Bomber Command and USAAF aircraft to Hamburg from 24 to 28 July 1943. Mentions it was the first firestorm and the use of Window. Writes that the next firestorm was Darmstadt on September 11 1944. Mentions subsequent firestorms at Magdeburg, Dresden, Pforzheim and Wurzburg. Goes on to mention justification for Dresden and lists those operations that his crew took part in. At the end mentions 617 Squadron attack on the Lützow.

He was stationed at RCAF Mont Joli (9 B&GS), RAF Wellesbourne Mountford (22 OTU), RAF Croft (1664 HCU) and RAF Middleton St George (428 Squadron). Aircraft flown in were Battle, Wellington, Halifax, Lancaster, Oxford and Anson.Targets were Essen, Cologne, Oberhausen, Ludwigshaven, Duisburg, Scholven, Wurzsburg, Hannover, Hanau, Merseburg, Zeitz, Wiesbaden, Bonn, Goch. Pforzheim, Mainz, Dortmund, Zweibrucken, Hagen, Neuss, Chemnitz, Dessau, Hemmingstedt and Hildesheim. He flew 22 night and 8 daytime operations with 428 Squadron, a total of 30. The log book also contains a poem and hand drawn illustrations including a woman with a horse and a naked woman captioned '428 Ghost'. His pilot on operations was Flying officer Anderson.

Navigator’s flying log book for L Spence covering the period from 25 February 1944 to 12 April 1945. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RCAF Edmonton (2 AOS), RAF West Freugh (4 OAFU), RAF Hixon (30 OTU), RAF Lindholme (1656 HCU), 460 Squadron (RAF Binbrook). Aircraft flown in were Anson, Wellington and Lancaster. He flew a total of 18 night-time operations with 460 Squadron, targets were Mannheim, Wiesbaden, Politz, Dresden, Chemnitz, Dortmund, Duisburg, Pforzheim, Cologne, Nuremburg, Hanau, Bralichstrasse, mining, Total 19 operations. His pilot on operations was Pilot Officer Harrison. The book has been scribbled in with coloured crayons. This item was sent to the IBCC Digital Archive already in digital form. Navigator's, Air Bomber's and Air Gunner's Flying Log Book for Ivor Cole, wireless operator. Covers the period from 3 September 1943 to 7 February 1946. Details his training, operations and flight to the Far East. Aircraft flown were Dominie, Proctor, Anson, Wellington, Halifax, Lancaster, B-24 and C-47. With 103 Squadron he flew 36 operations, 27 at night and 9 daylight. Targets were Duisburg, Stuttgart, Essen, Cologne, Bochum, Gelsenkirchen, Wanne-Eickel, Dortmund, Aschaffenburg, Freiburg, Urft Dam, Karlsruhe, Merseburg, Ludwigshaven, Ulh, Koblenz, Hannover, Munich, minelaying, Weisbaden, Kleve, Pforzheim and Mannheim. He also flew two Cook's Tour flights. His pilots on operations were Flight Lieutenant Morgan and Pilot Officer Weight.

Eric Pick's Royal Air Force navigator’s, air bomber’s and air gunner’s flying log book
Frederick Pick’s Wireless Operator’s Flying Log Book covering the period from 05 September 1943 to 07 April 1945. Detailing his flying training and operations flown as wireless operator. He was stationed at RAF Yatesbury (2 Radio School), RAF Millom (2 OAFU}, RAF Upper Heyford (16 OTU), RAF Syerston (5 LFS), RAF East Kirkby (57 Squadron) and RAF Balderton (227 Squadron) and RAF Strubby (227 Squadron). Aircraft flown in were Dominie, Proctor, Anson, Wellington, Stirling and Lancaster. He flew on seven night four day operations with 57 Squadron and 19 night and three day operations with 227 Squadron, to Le Havre, Darmstadt, Stuttgart, Boulogne, Bremerhaven, Munchen - Gladbach, Wilhelmshaven, Bremen, Flushing sea dykes, Brunswick, Nuremburg, Walcheren, Harburg, Duren, Ladbergen, Munich, Heilbron, St Vith, Houffalize, Gravenhorst, Politz, Merseberg, Brux, Siegen, Horten, Lutzendorf, Hamburg, Wesel, Dortmund and Molbis. Total 33. His pilot on operations was Flight Lieutenant Robertshawe. On an operation to Munich on the 26 November his main navigation aid caught fire. Having extinguished the fire he used what equipment he had to assist the navigator to bomb successfully and return to base. He was awarded a Green Endorsement on 12 January 1945 by the Group Captain O.C. RAF Balderton.

M A Niman’s RAF observer’s and air gunner’s flying log book
M A Niman’s RAF Observer’s and Air Gunner’s Flying Log Book, from 6th August 1941 to 2nd May 1945, detailing operations and instructional duties in the UK, Middle East and East Africa as a Wireless Operator/Air Gunner and “Special Operator”, including bomber transport, anti-submarine patrols and radio/radar counter-measures. The logbook starts with a note certifying flying hours (36 ‘trips’) contained in a logbook which was lost on the 16th July 1941 when a Bombay aircraft crashed into the sea at Gibraltar. It ends with a list of 31 ops flown with 10 Squadron obtained in 2002 from historical records, and a crew list. He was stationed at RAF Kemble (Overseas Aircraft Delivery Flight), RAF Heliopolis (No. 216 Bomber Transport Squadron), Wadi Gazouza/ Nanyuki (72 OTU), Kipevu, Mombasa (259 and 209 Squadrons), RAF Halfpenny Green (also known as RAF Bobbington) (No. 3 (O) AFU) and RAF Foulsham (192 Squadron). Aircraft in which flown: Bombay, Blenheim, Anson, Catalina, Short C-Class, Lodestar, Halifax and Whitley. Records a total of 14 night operations with 192 Squadron: some have no targets named, and some names are incorrectly spelled. These have been corrected where necessary by reference to the squadron ORB. Targets in Germany are: Augsburg, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Flensburg, Hamburg, Harburg, Kiel, Ladbergen, Langendreer, Nuremberg, Plauen and Stade. Roy Hastie's pilot's flying log book
Pilot's flying log book for Roy Hastie. It covers his RAF service from 9 December 1940 to 31 March 1946 and then his RAF Auxilliary Service flying to 23 May 1952. Detailing his flying training and operations flown firstly with Coastal Command and then with Bomber Command. He was stationed at RAF Perth, RAF Thornaby, RAF Squires Gate, RAF Eastleigh, East Coast USA, Trinidad, RAF Catfoss, Nassau, Bahamas, RAF Oulton, RAF Feltwell, RAF Riccall, RAF Lulsgate Bottom and RAF Dishforth. Aircraft flown in were Tiger Moth, Oxford, Tutor, Hudson, Blenheim, Botha, Beaufighter, B-25, B-24, Proctor, Hurricane, Spitfire, Chipmunk and Anson. With Coastal Command he flew anti-shipping operations with 53 Squadron, including a ditching. He transferred to 223 Squadrton in Bomber Command and flew 39 operations, mostly using Window in a counter-measures and spoof attacks role but including some bombing attacks. Targets include Hamburg, Bochum, Hanover, Ruhr region, Neuss, Duisburg, Essen, Karlsruhe, Ludwigshaven, Ulm, Cologne, Munich, Magdeberg, Stuttgart, Siegen, Dresden, Chemnitz, Dortmund Ems, Wesel, Kiel, and Augsberg.
