Covering the period 3 December 1941 to 1945 it details Jack's initial training, sailing from New Zealand to Canada and subsequent train journey, visiting a fox farm, canoeing, taking exams and getting the results and trips in the snow. Qualifying as a wireless operator and travel to Britain on the RMS Mauretania, the continuation of training, posting to 50 Squadron and marriage to Edna. Provides details of 28 operations to Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway and Russia including Houffalize, Brux, Boulogne, Le Havre, Bremen, Brunswick, Dortmund-Ems canal, Darmstadt, Gravenholst, Harburg oil refinery, Heilbronn, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe, Munich, Nuremberg, Stuttgart, Wilhelmshaven, Flushing, Trondheim and Koningsberg. It includes a leave pass, berthing card, travel map, sketches, photograph and other memorabilia.

Bill Foskett’s Royal Canadian Air Force Flying Log Book for Aircrew other than Pilot (Log Book 3)
Bill Foskett’s Flying Log Book as Bomb Aimer from 6th November 1942 until 3rd July 1945. Retrained in Canada as bomb aimer and air gunner at 31 Bombing and Gunnery School (Picton) and 31 Advanced Navigation School (Port Albert). Posted to 2 Advanced Flying Unit in England in May 1943 then 15 Operational Training Unit, Stirling Conversion Unit and 1657 Conversion Unit. Posted to 214 Squadron for operations commencing November 1943.
Served at Picton and Port Albert in Ontario, RAF Millom, RAF Harwell, RAF Sculthorpe.
Aircraft flown were Anson, Bolingbroke, Battle, Wellington, Stirling, B17.
Bill flew a total of 36 operations with 214 Squadron, only one of which was a day operation. The targets included Frisian Islands, Karlsruhe, Gennevilliers, Kiel, Brunswick, Saumur, Aulnoye, Gelsenkirchen, Goes, Stuttgart, Russelsheim, off Denmark, off Emden, Darmstadt, Wissembourg, Heereveen, Traben-Trarbach, Fischbach, Bischwiller, Bochum, Cologne & Mannheim, Essen, Saarbruken, Koblenz & Gladbeck, Mönchengladbach, Krefeld, Dortmund Ems Canal, Giessen.
His pilot for his first operation was Flight Sergeant Gilbert and his second, Squadron Leader Jeffries. For the rest of his operations his pilot was Flying Officer Corke.
During operations he fulfilled the role of bomb aimer, air gunner and second navigator at various times. As well as bombing carried out a number of Window, Mandrel and Big Ben Special Duties operations.

Alan Edwin Camlin's observer's and air gunner's flying log book
Observer's and air gunner's flying log book for Alan Edwin Camlin, air gunner, covering the period 12 November 1943 to 12 January 1946 and detailing his training and operations flown. He was stationed at No.7 Air Gunner School RAF Stormy Down, No.11 Operational Training Unit RAF Oakley and RAF Wescott, No.26 Operational Training Unit RAF Wing, 1657 Heavy Conversion Unit RAF Shepherd's Grove, No.3 Lancaster Finishing School RAF Feltwell, Navigation Training Unit RAF Warboys and 7 Squadron (PFF) RAF Oakington. All of his 46 operations, 29 night and 17 day, were flown in Lancasters with 7 Squadron. During one day time operation Alan was wounded. Targets in France, Germany and the Netherlands, were to Boulogne, Calais, Bochum, Bottrop, Bremen, Chemnitz, Cleve, Cologne, Dessau, Dortmund, Duisburg, Dülmen, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Hanau, Hannover, Jülich, Kamen, Karlsruhe, Kiel, Leipzig, Mainz, Mülheim, Munich, Osnabrück, Nürnberg, Stuttgart, Wanne Eickel, Wilmhelmshaven, Worms and Venlo. He flew one Operation Manna flight and one Operation Exodus flight. His pilot for 45 operations was Flight Lieutenant Rawson and for one was Wing Commander Cox.

Targets were, Kiel, Stuttgart, Caen, Bois de Cassan, Trossy St. Maximin, Acquet, Forêt de Nieppe, Falaise, Le Culot, Stettin, Emden, Le Havre, Wanne Eickel, Calais, Cap Griz Nez, Dortmund, Duisburg, Wilhelmshaven, Essen, Walcheren, Westkapelle, Oberhausen, Gelsenkirchen, Freiburg, Urft dam, Leuna oil plant, Ulm, Cologne, St. Vith, Rheydt, Bonn, Mannheim, Mainz, Dresden, Chemnitz, benzol plant at Borttrod-Stinnes, oil plant at Heide-Hemmingstedt, Gladbeck, Munster, Nordhausen, Hamburg, Bayreuth, Potsdam and Helgoland. His pilot on 56 operations was Flight Lieutenant L B Lawson and for one was Wing Commander L E Good. Recollections of a Flight Engineer
The recollections of Henry Sturrock of his time as a Flight Engineer flying in the Halifax with No 640 Squadron at Leconfield, he flew his first operation on 12 September 1944 and his last on 2 March 1945, he flew on 35 operations.
He also recounts his experience in the RAF after his flying career while awaiting demobilisation.
There is also a list of the operations that Henry carried out.

Pilot’s Flying Log book for Flt Lt William Drinkell from 11th June 1942 to 31st March 1947. Initial flying training in Canada and USA. Advanced pilot training in England with 6 AFU, 14 OTU, and LFS before operational posting to 50 Squadron. Post war posting to 108 OTU and then Australia (243 Squadron) Hong Kong (96 Squadron) and Japan as part of the British Commonwealth Occupation Force (BCOF).

Carried out 5 day and 27 night operations with 50 Squadron to Darmstadt, Bremerhaven, Rheydt, Kaiserslautern, Munster, Wilhelmshaven, Bremen, Nuremberg, Flushing docks, Bergen, Dusseldorf, the Dortmund-Ems Canal, the Mitteland Canal, Harburg, Duren, Heilbronn, the Urft Dam, Heimbach, Munich, Politz, Houffalize, Leuna, Brux, Siegen, the Rositz Oil Refinery, the Bohlen Synthetic Oil Plant, Wurzburg. He also carried out two Operation Exodus flights.
Awarded the DFC after an operation during which his aircraft was hit by bombs from another aircraft above him. He successfully flew his aircraft back to England. Includes various newspaper clippings.

T. Barber’s Royal Canadian Air Force Flying Log Book for Aircrew other than Pilot from 27th June 1943 to 6th May 1945 detailing his training, operations and instructional duties as an Air Bomber. He was stationed at RCAF Station Paulson (No. 7 Bombing and Gunnery School), RCAF Station Portage la Prairie (No.7 Air Observer School), RAF Penrhos (No. 9 (Observers) Advanced Flying Unit, RAF North Luffenham (29 OTU), RAF Winthorpe (1661 HCU), RAF Syerston (No. 5 Lancaster Finishing School), RAF Skellingthorpe (50 Squadron) and RAF Desborough (84 OTU). Aircraft in which flown: Anson I, Anson IV, Bolingbroke, Wellington III, Stirling and Lancaster. He flew a total of 35 operations (8 day, 27 night). Targets in Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Norway and Poland were: Bergen, Bohlen, Boulogne, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Brüx, Dortmund, Dortmund-Emms canal, Dresden, Düren, Düsseldorf, Essen, Flushing, Gdynia, Giessen, Harburg, Heilbronn, Homberg, Houffalize, Kaiserslautern, Karlsruhe, Mittelland-Emms canal, Munich, Münster, Pölitz, Rheydt, Rositz, Sassnitz, Siegen, Urft dam and Weser-Emms canal. His pilot on operations was Flying Officer Firmin.

Details his training, operations and flight to the Far East. Aircraft flown were Dominie, Proctor, Anson, Wellington, Halifax, Lancaster, B-24 and C-47. With 103 Squadron he flew 36 operations, 27 at night and 9 daylight. Targets were Duisburg, Stuttgart, Essen, Cologne, Bochum, Gelsenkirchen, Wanne-Eickel, Dortmund, Aschaffenburg, Freiburg, Urft Dam, Karlsruhe, Merseburg, Ludwigshaven, Ulh, Koblenz, Hannover, Munich, minelaying, Weisbaden, Kleve, Pforzheim and Mannheim. He also flew two Cook's Tour flights. His pilots on operations were Flight Lieutenant Morgan and Pilot Officer Weight.

Flying log book for William Edwards, pilot. Covering the period 25 June 1942 to 31 January 1952. Details his training, operations and post-war civilian flying with Qantas. He was based at RAF Calveley, RAF Windrush, RAF Docking, RAF Church Broughton, RAF Swinderby, RAF Syerston and RAF Waddington. Aircraft flown were Tiger Moth, Yale, Harvard, Anson, Master, Oxford, Wellington, Stirling, Lancaster, Lancastrian, C-47, Constellation and B-24 . With 467 Squadron he flew 30 operations plus a recall and an early return (Dresden). Of these 21 were night and 9 daylight operations. Targets were Karlsruhe, Wilhemshaven, Bremen, Flushing, Brunswick, Nuremberg, Flushing, Dortmund-Ems Canal, Harburg, Duren, Trondheim, Heilbronn, Giesson, Urft Dam, Munich, Mittelland Canal, Houffalize, Politz, Leuna, Rositz, Bohlen, Dortmund, Lutzendorf, Ijmuiden and Hamburg. Aircraft flown were Tiger Moth, Wirraway, Oxford, Wellington, Halifax, Beaufighter and C-47. Serving wih 76 Squadron and 462 Squadron he flew 32 operations; 12 at night and 20 daylight. Not all targets are legible but those that are include Foret de Croc, Foret de Nieppe, Villers Bocage, Dijon, Brest, Sterkrade, Soesterberg, Le Havre, Gelsenkirchen, Kiel, Boulogne, Dusseldorf, Bochum, Duisburg, Essen and Cologne. Targets were Bordeaux, Boulogne, Le Creusot, Modane, Bochum, Chemnitz, Cologne, Dortmund, Dresden, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Essen, Frisian Islands, Gelsenkirchen, Hamburg, Hannover, Heinsberg, Hohenbudberg, Homberg, Huls, Kamen, Krefeld, Mannheim, Munich, Neuss, Nuremburg, Osterfeld, Peenemunde, Remscheid, Trier, Turin, Wesel and Wuppertal. His pilots on operations were Sergeant Appleby, Flying Officer Andrewartha, Flight Sergeant Noble, Flight Lieutenant Dagnon, Flying Officer Roberts, Flight Lieutenant Snyder and Flying Officer Burbridge.

Pilots flying log book for J S Ross covering the period from 21 January 1943 to 12 March 1946. Detailing his instructor duties, operations flown, flying training and post war duties with 246 Squadron and 511 Squadron. He was stationed at RAF Tatenhill, RAF Grove, RAF Ramsbury, RAF Little Rissington, RAF Windrush, RAF Bruntingthorpe, RAF Bitteswell, RAF Marston Moor, RAF Pocklington, RAF Merryfield, RAF Nutts Corner, RAF Holmsley South and RAF Lyneham. Aircraft flown in were Oxford, Magister, Wellington, Halifax, Stirling, York, Dakota, and Lancaster. He flew a total of 34 operations with 102 Squadron. Targets were St Martin L’Hortier, Domleger, Mimoyecque, Caen, St Nazaire, Hauts Boissons, Stuttgart, Wanne Eickel, Le Foret de Nieppe, La Belle Croix les Eroyerus, Somain, Brunswick, Sterkrade, Lumbres, Venlo, Gelsenkirchen, Buer, Duisburg, Essen, Dusseldorf, Julech, Horten, Hagan, Soest, Osnabruck and Drams Fjord. Navigator’s, air gunner’s and air bomber’s flying log book for G Babbage, air gunner, covering the period from 15 December 1942 to 8 April 1945. Detailing his flying training and operations flown. He was stationed at RAF Stormey Down, RAF Riccall, RAF Pocklington, RAF Rufforth, RAF Faldingworth, RAF Sandtoft, RAF Driffield, RAF Grimsby, RAF Warboys and RAF Upwood. Aircraft flown in were Defiant, Whitley, Halifax, and Lancaster. He flew a total of 51 operations, 26 with 102 Squadron, 2 with 100 Squadron and 23 with 156 Squadron. Targets were St Nazaire, Essen, Kiel, Frankfurt, Duisburg, Dortmund, Bochum, Dusseldorf, Le Cruseot, Gelsenkirchen, Montbelliard, Hamburg, Nurnberg, Berlin, Kassel, Cannes, Neuss, Bonn, Opladen, Cologne, Osterfeld, Munich, Goch, Politz, Dresden, Pforzheim, Homburg, Misburg, Hanau, Heide and Harburg. His pilots on operations were Flight Lieutenant Carey, Warrant Officer Brooks, Flying Officer Parkinson and Flying Officer Edge.

Extract from Norman William Smith’s air gunner logbook covering operations between 12 August 1944 and 3 December 1944 flying on Lancaster with 166 Squadron C Flight. 16 daylight and 15 night operations are recorded. Targets were Rieme, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Saarbrucken, Stettin, Essen, Cologne, Bochum, Dortmund. Wanne-Eickel, Abbeville, Le Havre, Calais, Cap Griz Nez, Westkapelle, Emerich, Gelsenkirchen, Duren, Karlsruhr and mine laying. His pilot on operations was Pilot Officer Sisson.
