Air alarms log 10 June 1940 - 31 August 1943
Diario
The log covers three years, from 10 June 1940 to August 1943. Initial notes are about civil defence preparedness: posters with black-out instructions are issued, shelters are set up. The first alarm is logged on 22 June 1940, followed by only two alarms in the whole year. No events are logged from October 1940 until February 1941. Five alarms are recorded from 8 to 11 February, followed by substantial gaps in April, July, August and October. No events are logged in January, February, May, June, July, August and September 1942. Alarms are on the increase from 25 October to 10 November, with some early warnings in December. From January to March 1943 early warnings and alarms are sporadic, but from April to August are again on the increase. The first bombing is logged on 19 April 1943.
