Letter from Air Ministry to Mrs K Wynn
Letter concerns reburial of her husband from cemetery in Venlo to the British Military Cemetery Jonkersbosch, Nijmegen. Goes on to explain that this was as a result of policy to ensure upkeep of graves by Imperial War Graves Commission. States location of his grave and others in the crew.

Pilots flying log book two for Leslie Valentine, covering the period from October 1943 to 27 November 1945. Detailing his flying training, operations flown and duties with 2nd Tactical Air Force communications flight. He was stationed at RAF Finmere, RAF Bicester, RAF Hartford Bridge and RAF Brussels. J Oates’ observer’s and air gunner’s flying log book
Observer’s and air gunner’s flying log book for J Oates, navigator, covering the period from 11 February 1943 to 19 June 1946. Detailing his flying training, operations flown and instructor duties. He was stationed at RAF Millom, RAF Chipping Warden, RAF Stradishall, RAF Witchford, RAF Leicester East, RAF Tarrant Rushton, RAF Keevil, RAF Weathersfield, RAF Sleap, RAF Tilstock and RAF Linton-on-Ouse. Aircraft flown in were Tiger Moth, Anson, Wellington, Stirling, Oxford, Harrow, Whitley and Halifax. He flew a total of 24 operations with 196 squadron. The operations were paratrooper drops and glider towing including operation Tonga and Mallard on D-Day and operation Market Garden. All other operations were detailed as briefed. His pilots on operations were Flight Sergeant Lyons and Warrant Officer Oliver.

Reconnaissance photograph of a bend in the Waal river at Nijmegen, spanned by two cantilever bridges. The Waalbrug road bridge to the left and the Snelbinder rail bridge to the right. There are docks along river bank and jetties on the opposite side. Small vessels are visible at landing stages.

Newspaper cuttings concerning Paddy Finucane and pilgimage to Nijmegen by Kathleen Wynn
1. Title 'To lead wing at 21'. Relates to wartime history of Wing Commander Paddy Finucane. Handwritten note explains his death and that Ian Wynn was his engineer. 2. Title 'Brought Together'. Relates the meeting of Kathleen Harvey and Kathleen Wynn while on pilgrimage to their husbands graves in Holland. Their husbands were shot down on the same day and are buried side by side.

Lancasters issued to No. 166 squadron between September 1943 and April 1945
12 pages listing 204 aircraft that were flown by No. 166 Squadron. Six columns record each aircraft's registration number, the date received, where it came from, the code letters and details of it's loss or disposal. For some aircraft the number of hours flown is also recorded. The list is ordered by registration number. There are eight addenda, each giving further details about an individual aircraft and it's crew. The cover page has an image of a Lancaster carrying the code letters of No. 166 Squadron.
