Partisans neutralise the Carlino garrison

Four German soldiers have been captured by men in khaki and red uniforms. The Germans have thrown their guns to the ground and hold their arms up in the air in surrender. A large house and water-mill are visible in the background.
Inscriptions read “284” signed by the author; caption reads “29 APRILE 1945. Partigiani della “Garibaldi” disarmano il presidio tedesco di CARLINO UD”.
Caption translates as: “29 April 1945. Partisans of the “Garibaldi” unit disarmed the German garrison in Carlino (Udine province).”

A surprise attack by fascists is taking place in a room where three civilians are cooking food over an open fire. The civilians have been taken by surprise, knocking over a chair as one of them stands and a plate being dropped. The soldiers are pointing their guns at the civilians and the officer is gesturing with his left hand.
Label read “264” signed by the author; caption reads “1 APRILE 1945. Cattura da parte di repubblichini fascisti di 3 gap, Fernando, Guido, Dik ai casali Zapoga (Carlino) UD, causa delazione di un compagno, il solo Dik riusciva a fuggire, ma inseguito veniva raggiunto nella campagna. (1o)”.
Caption translates as: “1 April 1945. The Fascists arrested three members of the Patriotic Action Groups at the Zapoga farmstead near Carlino (Udine province). They were Fernando, Guido, and Dik, who got reported by one of their companions. Only Dik managed to escape, but he was chased and reached in the farmland. (1)”

Spitfire shot down by Kriegsmarine anti-aircraft fire

A Spitfire is crashing in a rural landscape. The aircraft is pictured in the act of disintegration and is in flames and trailing black smoke. The pilot has bailed out and his parachute has opened.
Label reads “243”; signed by the author; caption reads “6 MARZO 1945. ORE 11.30 “Spitfire” colpito da mitragliera della “Kriegsmarine” precitato [sic] al suolo a est di Carlino UD il pilota si è salvato con il paracadute.”
Caption translates as: “6 March 1945, 11.30 am. Spitfire fighter aircraft hit by heavy machine-gun fire from the German navy. It crashed East of Carlino (Udine province). The pilot survived since he parachuted outside the aircraft.”
