FRENCHMAN WAVES TO ALLIED RECONNAISSANCE PLANE
Allied Air Crews have frequently reported that Frenchmen have waved encouragement to them as they have passed over on their bombing missions; this remarkable picture shows a Frenchman giving an enthusiastic wave to the Pilot of an Allied reconnaissance plane as it flew low over a country road in enemy occupied territory.

THE ENEMY'S RAILWAY BRIDGES CONTINUE TO BE DESTROYED
Above: The railway viaduct at BEAUGENCY, S.W. of Orleans has six of its arches completely destroyed as the result of U.S. 9th Air Force bombing.
Below: At ETAPLES a single line bridge has been destroyed in three places and the double track bridge has three craters penetrating through the structure, disrupting both lines. This is the result of an attack by aircraft of Bomber Command on 4th August, 1944.
