Dear Beryl, Arthur, & Bob,
Just a brief note to let you know everything is OK. I hope you are all fit and well, and that you are able to get a bit of enjoyment these hard times.
Many happy returns of the day Bedgo, although I expect I shall be a bit late as usual.
Thanks for the stamps which you sent me with your letter.

slowly, although the weather has been pretty poor for our type of bombing since we came back off leave. I have done 18 now, and I expect it will be 19 by the time you get this, although the weather is’nt [sic] too good, and there may be a scrub, as there has been several times lately.
We are due to go on leave a fortnight today, but I doubt very much if we will get away right on time. Still I suppose it will come round eventually, although it seems ages since my last leave.

Well I’m afraid I hav’nt [sic] got much to tell you, and I expect you get all the gen from Ma

Dear Little Janet
I hope you are well and did not upset yourself last night after Daddy went. I had a very good journey up here, and managed to get quite a lot of sleep. I did not get found out with the other mans pass, and so did not get any jankers. Everything is alright now and I cannot get found out.
I wrote to Mummy tonight but forgot to mention that is has been snowing hard all day, and this evening, and is still snowing now. The snow is about 12 inches deep. Tell Mummy will you please.
Much Love from Daddy

I hope you are feeling fit and well, and not letting these buzz-bombs worry you too much.
I’m afraid I hav’nt [sic] been able to get you any film stars yet, although I called in quite a number of shops. Still I expect I shall be able to get some before I come home.
I am sending you a little parcel with a few sweets and bars of chocolate, so you must keep your eyes open for it.

How are you getting on with your music and at school? I suppose you are losing a lot of lessons now, because you have to go into the shelter.
Well Little Girl I must say goodbye now, and I hope to see you before long.

Please do not worry yourself if you hear I am missing, as it is pretty certain I am alright, and will be back home with you as soon as I can. Just keep on being a good girl, helping Mummy and playing.
Lots of love
