ANTHONY
KALEIDOSCOPE - THE MORNING AFTER - 1943
Next morning
earth still revolving
lights before the eyes;
Fires burning in the mind,
still fully clothed
on the bed sprawled.
How did we return?
Am I still alive?
Was it Hades I watched?
Can't sleep...
Breakfast in the Mess
no-one speaks
no-one smiles;
Eight hours to forget
another nightmare
another night!
Dear God - is this real?
