My darling Mummy and Daddy.
Just a few lines [inserted] from both of us [/inserted] to wish Mummy a very happy birthday. God bless you both and keep you safetly [sic] for us. Thanks awfully for your letters. We were very pleased to read about everything. Do you want us to send you a list of the things that we need.?. If so please let us know. Things will be much easier for us now in Calcutta since Marrus is meeting us. I will reply to your letter on Sunday as it is a class morning today and I have not much time. The French boys had their Oral test yesterday. We will be quite allright [sic] travelling [deleted] up [/deleted] down alone, so don’t worry. No more news today, so sorry for such a short letter, but class is just about to begin, with lots of love & kisses from us both your
