My darling Mummy and Daddy.
Thanks awfully for your letters. We went for our Cambridge picnic today and had a jolly good time. There was only one bad thing and that was going in the bus, I got terribly sick; that’s very funny as I do not usually get sick. We had the prize distribution today, and Steve got a nice cup for the [deleted] [undecipherable] [/deleted] cricket. We will not write to Calcutta as Daddy may have gone back when the letter reaches. I am glad to hear that you [deleted] can [/deleted] are staying with Aunty [deleted] indecipherable letter [/deleted] Phyl. It will be so much better than being alone. [deleted] Their [/deleted] There is no time to finish the tennis tournaments so I don’t know what will happen. We are taking the Billi [?] vaccine and tomorrow will be our last day. We will send you that list at Cambridge week time as Steve can look up what we need. We will buy all our clothes and rackets by ourselves our matron will get us all sorts of siezes [sic]. I will

write to Daddy as you say he does not know when he will return. I think P.D.C is higher than St. Pauls, isn’t it? No Mum I won’t be a bit cocksure. Fancy finding an egg like that. How foolish of the bird not to lay it in a more convenient place. I am glad to hear the dogs are getting on nicely. I am sorry to hear that those wretched dogs won’t make up. We are dying to come home and see the dogs and cinders as she is a new addition to the family, and everybody else. How the days have flown only a fortnight and we go home. Shall we travel under age from Calcutta? I think we might. I got a pair of boots made by the College Moche [?] as I needed a pair. No more news today with lots of love and kisses, God bless and keep you both for us your loving son
