June 2nd 1928
My dear Mummy and Daddy.
I hope you are quite well and happy. Thank you for your letter. I am quite well and happy and so is Stevie. [deleted] H [/deleted] How are Dorge and Pompom getting on? We are still in quarantine. Waterson hurt his chin and had to have 2 stiches [sic] put in but they are pulled out now. Some of the boys have got beetles. The beetle season has just started. Has Dorge got any more kittens yet? We had a picnic on Thursday we had a treasure hunt and lots of nice things. We had drinks, sandwiches and heaps of other things. We had lots of fun and uncle serarb [sic] gave

me 1 rup [deleted] p [/deleted] ee and gave Stevie 1 rup [deleted] p [/deleted] ee too. At Stevie’s party we had the gramophone. [inserted] We had [/inserted] two cakes one from aunty and one from you. We got our w[deleted] h [/deleted] atches on Thursday and we have still got them. Nothing is broken of [sic] our watches yet. I will try and keep mine for a long time. For Stevie’s birthday the boys at the party only got through 1 cake and the other cake we are having [inserted] as [/inserted] stores. We had the party in Miss Humphries room. We had drinks too [sic] for the party. With lots of love and kisses
