Observer’s and air gunner’s flying log book for D Andrew, navigator, covering the period from 26 July 1942 to 30 October 1945. Detailing his flying training, operations flown, instructor duties and post war flying duties. He was stationed at 7 Air Observers School RCAF Portage la Prairie, 18 Advanced Flying Unit RAF Staverton, 14 Operational Training Unit RAF Saltby and RAF Cottesmore, 1654 Heavy Conversion Unit RAF Wigsley, 49 Squadron RAF Fiskerton and 207 Squadron RAF Spilsby. Aircraft flown in were Anson, Wellington, Stirling and Lancaster. He flew a total of total of 30 night operations with 49 squadron. Targets were Mönchengladbach, Rheydt, Mannheim, Munich, Bochum, Hagen, Kassel, Stuttgart, Hannover, Leipzig, Dusseldorf, Berlin, Frankfurt, Pomeranian Bay, Augsburg and Essen. His pilots on operations were Flying Officer George, Flight Lieutenant Bacon and Lieutenant Stevens.
