Letter from Jack Dwyer to his wife

Jack writes that he is desperate to get home at the weekend and sends her a made up story to write to him. It may not work because the instructor is very strict. They are still struggling to get their proper gunner rates and have been helped by others at Prestwick. He is on sentry duty and they have found mushrooms which they have collected for breakfast. He has been running to keep fit.
