Gives brief service background of both. John Elliot tells of crewing up at 83 OTU and comments on crew members and going on to 1667 HCU). John Lord comments the the HCU Halifax were not good aircraft and both then relate a very unfortunate experience with a Halifax when the lost two engines. They then went onto Lancaster finishing school. Comment that they did 30 operations and the 13th stood out when they suffered bad weather, loss of an engine, no where to land and bailed out when they ran out of fuel. Mentions some encounters with night fighters. Relates flying a famous Lancaster against a captured Ju 88. Then provides description of activities after completion of their tour. John makes some further comments about the state of Halifax aircraft at 1667 HCU. At the end regular crew listed.
