Article on the origination and function of the "food Acco". Note that he was shot down 5 January 1945 target Hanover, captured 13 January and liberated by Russians 30 April 1945. Lists German Food Rations, contents of British, American and Canadian Red Cross parcels, plan of room and camp. Lists prisoner phrases (slang), drawing of guard tower. Covers events of 30 April and 1 May when the Germans left and Russian forces arrived. Goes on with addresses of fellow prisoner friends German/English vocabulary, labels of various supplies including razor blades, cigarettes and tobacco.
