Description
The 23 men are arranged in two rows under the port side front of a Lancaster. The Lancaster has a large number of operations recorded on the nose. On the reverse - 'copy Fiskerton 5.45 Avro 685 Lancaster LM227 UL-I / 576 Squadron After 100th operation which was a food drop to the Dutch with F/Lt Stuart B Simpson & crew NB Last five sorties marked by Sacks instead of Bombs Swastica [sic] denotes German a/c shot down by this aircraft & DFC ribbon that this was awarded to one of its crew'.
