Doug's diary of some of his time in a prisoner of war camp. Main subjects are food, the cold and being fed up. Various entertainments have happened in the camp. A play called 'Keep it Dark' and a lecture 'With the cavalry in India'. He attends church regularly.
Highlights are letter from home, no parcels. More American POWs keep arriving.
Food situation dreadful. 150 died of dysentery. POWs dying overnight in bed from the cold. Lots of snow.
On New Year's Eve they had a sing song.
There are pages of poems and addresses of friends.
