Description

A vertical aerial photograph taken during the bombing of Emmerich. The built up area to the north of the Rhine River has been heavily bombed and most of the detail is obscured by explosions. The south bank of the river is at the top of the photograph and fields and roads can be seen. Groynes projecting into the river from the north bank are visible.
