Writes about Peter's escape attempts and plans for others. Writes some nice words about Peter's character.

I am directed to refer to previous correspondence from this Department regarding your son, Flight Lieutenant N.A.J. Mackie, D.F.C., Royal Air Force, and to advise you that information has now been received stating that your son has arrived in Spain and is present at Figueras.
It is thought that there is now a probability of your son returning home shortly but it is suggested that you should continue to send correspondence c/o Air Ministry, A.I.1. King Charles Street, London, S.W.1
In conveying this news I am to suggest that it should still be treated with confidence and to assure you that any further news received will be immediately passed to you.
