Geoffrey Shattock’s RCAF Pilot’s Flying Log Book from 19 December 1941 to 21 June 1946, detailing training and operations as a pilot and flying instructor, including post-war duties in Transport Command. He was stationed at: Souther Field Americus (Primary Flying School), Cochran Field Macon (Basic Flying School), Napier Field Dothan (Advanced Flying School), RAF Little Rissington (No. 6 (Pilots) Advanced Flying Unit), RAF Cottesmore (No. 14 Operational Training Unit), RAF Stradishall (No. 1657 Conversion Unit), RAF Chedurgh (214 Squadron), RAF Church Broughton (No. 93 Group Screened Pilots School), RAF Castle Coombe (No.3 Flying Instructors School), RAF Ossington (No. 82 Operational Training Unit), RAF Castle Donnington, RAF Wymeswold, RAF Bircotes, RAF High Ercall, RAF Merryfield, RAF Melbourne and RAF Full Sutton. Aircraft in which flown: Stearman PT-17, Vultee Valiant BT-13A, Harvard AT-6A, Oxford, Wellington, Stirling, Mosquito, Dakota, Anson, Warwick, Fortress. Records 16 night operations (one with 90 Squadron, 15 with 214 Squadron) on the following targets in France and Germany: Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Gardening (Deodars), Gelsenkirchen, Kiel, Krefeld, Le Creusot, Lorient, Mannheim, Mulheim, Rostock, Stuttgart, Wuppertal (Elberfeld). First two operations flown as second pilot, first pilots were Flight Lieutenant Wallace and Flight Sergeant Young. Also includes photographs of various aircraft.
