1. Lancaster DV.202, Merlin 23 engine numbers P.O. 3539/267493 P.I. 6505/325794 S.I. 6098/325522 S.O. 6090/325519, was reported missing by No. 44 Squadron on the 17/18th August, 1943 during an attack on Peenemunde with the following crew aboard:

2. G.S.T. 175 states that F/S Shaw, Sgt. Quance, P/O Prendergast were buried on the 24th August, 1943 at the South Shore of Koplin See (Map Ref.: N54/U25). Sgt. (now P/O) Pynisky is listed as being buried on the 21st August, 1943 on the West Shore of Kolpin See. There is no mention of the remainder of the crew.

3. It is requested that an investigation be made to locate the graves of the crew members listed above and also determine the fate of P/O Harding, Sergeant Weston and Sergeant McDermott.
