Monday evening.
Dear Marg,
Thanks for your letter received by this evenings post. I sent my laundry off this morning. The wrapper was a bit battered & torn but I think it will do. I hope so anyrate. You need not have worried on Saturday night because we were not flying. We were reserve aircraft that night but as luck would have it we werent [sic] needed. By the look of it I will have to do some begging when I come home next time to keep
[page break]
up my reputation. Its a good job people dont [sic] know how scared I really am. We went down to Norfolk yesterday afternoon to fetch another Lanc back. We were not far from Yarmouth and was hoping we would stop the night so I could go in there but we had to come straight back. Has Draper arrived back yet or is father still in control of the Langford N.F.S. Hows Rex Swain getting on. Have you heard any more about him. Langford will have to watch out I bet when he gets
[page break]
his tapes. Well I dont [sic] think that there is anything else to write about so I will say cheerio.
