166 items. The collection concerns Reginald Charles Wilson (b. 1923, 1389401 Royal Air Force) and contains his wartime log, photographs, documents and correspondence. He few operations as a navigator with 102 Squadron. He was shot down on 20 January 1944 and became a prisoner of war.
The collection has been donated to the IBCC Digital Archive by Janet Hughes and catalogued by Barry Hunter.

I am directed to inform you that your son was promoted to the rank of Flying Officer with effect from 1st June, 1944.
This promotion appeared in the London Gazette of 18th August, 1944 and it is automatically notified to the German Government, through the Protecting Power in order that he may be granted the pay and privileges according to his rank.
It should be stated that there is no objection to your privately notifying your son of his promotion should you wish to do so.
