539154 Sergeant Alfred Ernest HARRIS, Royal Air Force, No 61 Squadron.
As flight engineer, Sergeant Harris has completed a large number of sorties, including 11 attacks on the capital of the German Reich Throughout his tour he has been of inestimable help to his captain and has played a worthy part in the many successes obtained. His example of courage and devotion to duty has been highly commendable.
