My dear Mum,
Well at last I ma back at camp again and am very comfortably billetted [sic] at the above address. We only sleep there, my friend and I, although the two old ladies very kindly supply us with tea in the morning and for supper. My other mates are next door so we are all together.
As usual we are still mucking about the park, doing very little, standing about mostly. We will be here for about a week and then we may be either on the overseas draft the 13th or
[page break]
20th February, but I can’t tell you anything definite.
The train journey wasn’t so bad down here, for after arriving at Birmingham we had the carriage to ourselves and then we managed to get some sleep. I don’t no [sic] if I shall get home again for some time now but if anything does crop up I will let you know.
I will be sending a little washing home this week-end so will write again.
Cheerio for now and all my love.
Regards to Dennis & Bill.
Yours
