Dear Mum, Dad, Hazel and Norman,
I received a small batch of letters from you all this week end I’m pleased to hear you’re receiving mine fairly regularly. As you are interested in Dr. Smythe and his wife I will give [deleted] ho [/deleted] his address here and now.

Practically all the chaps are fixed up now (many have been for months) with people in the town. There’s certainly no lack of hospitality here.
Your letter, mother, was dated 25th March and you mentioned you were having your first rain for many weeks. Personally I’m fed up with seeing rain. We’ve had a good 5 or 6 inches of rain here in the last 8 or 9 days and walking about in camp is like walking through porridge, only stickier. I’ve heard quite a lot about the re-papering & decorating at home and I’m looking forward to seeing it.
I’m well on the way with the new course now, having just completed 4 of the 15 weeks. I’ve only flown 4 times so far but that is chiefly due to the afore-mentioned weather conditions. As for pals, I have a lot already. You soon get acquainted in the R.A.F.
Cheerio, and God bless you all, Ron XXXXXX
