5 Dec 1943 to Everyone
Well its Sunday night 11:10 and I have just crawled into my bunk. Its pretty rainy weather down here.
Red Eray??? Was up to see me today. He is fed up with the army. I went out and looked him up Wednesday night.
I am getting along fine. I think I will spend Christmas with Cousin Sam1. Would appreciate an iron and cord. Could make good use of it.
Young Pelly from Bowmanville is down here with me. His brother worked for Uncle Harvey about 3 years ago. He is an A.G.2
Hope you are all well and dad’s back is improved. How is the ploughing coming? I expect it is froze up by now.
I hear from Dora every day. I guess she is kept quite busy with store and house.
Well there isn’t much news. Things are quiet around here. All we do is sleep and eat. No work at all. Its pretty tiresome and monotonous. War is looking pretty good. May soon be home again.
Will say so long for now. Write soon.
Love Glenn
