Mr. W. T. Baker,
4, Limefield Terrace,
Levenshulme,
MANCHESTER.....19.
Dear Mr. Baker,
Many thanks for your letter of November 17th, and I am sorry that I have not had a previous opportunity of replying.
I am indeed glad that your son was able to save his life with one of our chutes, and have much pleasure in welcoming Sgt. R. Baker as a member of the Club. I have ordered his membership card, which I will send to you as soon as possible.
With regard to the small gold Caterpillar Pin to which he is also entitled, I regret to say that due to supply difficulties, I do not know just when it will be possible to send you this, and unless the position improves it may even not be until after the War. I am terribly sorry about this, but can only promise to send it at the first opportunity.
With best wishes for your son's early return home. I remain,
Yours sincerely,
Leslie L. Irvin.
