You certainly surprise me with your news, in joining the Service; my opinion is that it is no place for any woman. Still, sentiment must be laid aside. Well I have a study complex at present. It appears that facilities afforded us are very encouraging, things will be unsettled for a while no doubt. You were asking about Bruce Bellfridge, we come into contact with him frequently, as [missing words] are controlled absolutely by our emotions, whether elation or depression but we get along.
You will look after yourself now, don't be irrational, I should imagine that aspect has already been discussed with you. A decent girl is sometimes spoiled in a most regrettable fashion.
I shall certainly have to be home for your 21st Kaye, I unfortunately passed mine here, it should be time enough though. You must appreciate censorship regulations, they are very strict. Have a “Happy Christmas”, I won't, still it's good to be English. So Long Kaye.
Lots of love,
[underlined] Jerry. [/underlined]. xxxx
