Crowd in a boat
Description
An account of the resource
A crowd of men. women and children sitting in an open topped boat on a river with bridge in the background. Additional information about this item was kindly provided by the donor. 'photo, taken in 1927 it would appear, as someone around 90 years ago wanted to remember their day out on a boat by writing the date on a lady's hat!! Just behind that lady, is Dad [EH Tansley] aged 13 and looking straight at you. Four people further down that row is his father, leaning out to look at the camera and immediately opposite him is Dad's younger brother, Fred, wearing an open necked white shirt. His Mum is sitting on this end of the row behind Fred, by the little boy in his school blazer'.
