[underlined] NOTE
CESSATION OF PAY AND ALLOWANCES ON EXPIRATION OF LEAVE AND RETURN OF ORDER BOOKS. [/underlined] – All Service pay and allowances cease on the effective date of discharge. Wives or dependants who have been receiving allowances and wives, dependants or other persons who have been receiving allotments from pay must then immediately return the order Books which they hold to the Director of Accounts, Air Ministry, Whittington Road, Worcester. It is therefore essential in order to avoid delay in the final settlement of an airman or airwoman’s account that the order book be returned to the above address with the minimum of delay after the last entitled voucher has been cashed.
2. No record of an airman/airwoman’s pay account is maintained at the Record Office, and [underlined] ALL QUERIES WITH REGARD TO PAY ALLOWANCES SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO THE COMMANDING OFFICER OF YOUR LAST UNIT. [/underlined]
