My Dear Joan
Have just finished my first day at Frodingham after two weeks holiday and during my holiday I had a letter from Mum telling me of your news Joan.
Ever since then I have been thinking of you, it has just been on the top of my mind all the time. Probably because of my own Bob. But dear its just to let you know that I am thinking hoping & also praying with you until you get much better news.

Have every confidence Joan that day will surely come.
Well dear I find it hard to say more, so with hall my thoughts and also every good hope from my Mum & Dad. I’ll just say “chin up” and hope you’ll pop around anytime you feel like it.
All very Best Love & Wishes,
Sincerely
