He was stationed at Coxyde Belgium and Volkel Holland. Aircraft flown were Mosquito and Oxford. He flew a total of 17 night operations with 605 squadron. Targets were Coesfeld, Lathen, Diepholz, Quakenbruck, Verden, Stade, Brandenberg, Oschersleben, Aurich, Bad Segeberg, Bremen, Itzehoe and various road and rail targets.
