My Dearest Mother, Have received two letters from you this month the latest a February one. You did not mention Dad’s nose[?] trouble again so I hope its O.K. again. Anthony & I each received 200, 4square cigs & a tin of Dobies’s tobacco from you. He asked me to thank you. Mrs parker says their tobacco crop promises to be the best every so I do hope Harry’s will be the same. Letters from S. Africa say they are getting up to £40 for fat cattle which is pretty good isn’t it? For the farmer I mean. No doubt prices aren’t half as good as that in Rhodesia. Am keeping very fit and at long last Summer seems to have come so am doing a spot of sunbathing again. The theatre here which was built by prisoners, is not tood bad and we get quite a lot of entertainment in the way of plays etc. The last show was variety and as usual was very good. There are supposed to be some English & American films coming through The Red Cross so we are looking forward to seeing some of them soon. How are all the nieces & nephews getting along. As God Father am I supposed to present Shirley & Donald John with beer mugs. Cheerhio dearest mother. Keep smiling & don’t worry. Your loving sone Donald.
