Officers’ Mess,
R.A.F. Station,
KALDADARMES,
Iceland (C).
27 Feb. 1943.
Dear Mr & Mrs. Biscoe,
My hearty congratulations to yourselves and to Arthur, on his “wings” & promotion to pilot officer in the R.A.F. Best of luck to Arthur & may he carry on with the good work he has started and return safely at the end.
Arthur will be interested to know that one of his old masters at Drayton Rd Evening Institute has heard of his success, here in what must surely be one of the most isolated of all R.A.F. stations. I hope we may bump into each other one of these days – but not, (for Arthur’s sake) I hope, out here.
My best very best wishes,
Sincerely,
B.A. Pead
(Flying Officer, R.A.F.)
