Aircraft now over base,

Call now made on Control Frequency,

Voice Fixing.
If Control asks for voice fix, he orders pilot to TRANSMIT FOR A FIX, pilot complies as for homing.

STEER. Set course given for home.
ANGELS. Height in 1,000 of feet.
ORBIT. Circle and search.
ORBIT PORT Circle and search to port.
ORBIT STBD Circle and search to starboard.
ANCHORED. Am orbiting a visual orbit point.
RAT. Identified enemy a/c.
BANDIT. Identified enemy a/c.
BOGGIE. Unidentified a/c, (might be friendly.)
TALLY HO. Enemy a/c sighted.
TRAMLINES. Beam approach.
PANCAKE. Land, refuel. re-arm.
QUILT. Above cloud.
POPEYE In cloud.
MATTRESS. Below cloud.
PIP SQUEK.[sic] Contactor.
