Messerschmitt Bf 108. Taifun.
A development of the M.35 & M.37 monoplane & first flew in the Spring of 1934 with a 250 hp Hirth HM 8U inline engine. The type entered production as the Bf 108A & in the late 1930’s achieved a number of record flights. The Taifun was adopted by the Luftwaffe as a communications & liaison type, though secondary roles such as supply & target towing were also undertaken. About 885 aircraft of the series were com- completed.
