The Russians have entered Vyasma, where they report that 9,000 of the enemy were killed and much war material was captured. Berlin, while admitting the fall of Vyasma, claimed last night that German forces were in the centre of Kharkov.
Soviet forces are already pressing on from Vyasma and are pursuing the enemy towards Durovo, a railway junction half-way between Vysama and Smolensk.

WIDE DISCUSSIONS WITH U.S. LEADERS
Mr. Eden, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has arrived in Washington, it was announced this morning, to discuss with United States statesmen all aspects of the war situation, including future meetings between the Governments of the United Nations.
Our Washington Correspondent states that first and foremost in the discussions will be the problem of food supplies and relief for the European peoples as they are liberated from German oppression.
