Dear Jessie,

Forgive me for missing you yesterday but as you know we are swotting up terribly hard Friday & Saturdays [sic] exam and by the time I had finished last night I was just too tired.

Sixty Bexhill boys arrived yesterday among them Dick & Alf and we had a good jaw over old times with many a good laugh. As new boys [sic] they get quite a lot of leg pulling but they took it alright. The four boys transferred to Perth were sent as examples of Fokker training and were chosen at random the tenth man in each squad. I sent your P.O on Saturday have you had it yet. [sic] I hope you have not had to borrow too much.

Glad you have got your painting done and did you splash it all over the place. Don’t forget under the doors where I planed [sic] it off will you dear.

I've probably got my medical exam tomorrow, just one test after another isn't it. But still they will soon be all over and then I can start all over again on armament. What a life.

Is Milly getting along alright and I hope

[page break]

you are all managing very happily at home. If you can get out with Johnnie and Gladys once or twice a week it will help to make things a little more lively for you.

Sorry I cant [sic] manage very much more tonight but must get on [deleted] th [/deleted] with my work and I want to have a bath before I go to bed so goodnight darling give my love to Pam and all from

Forever your loving
