An account of the resource
Twelve items. The collection relates to the service of Warrant Officer Leonard C Green (1318527 Royal Air Force) and consists of his log book, correspondence, a newspaper cuttings, four photographs and a foreign languages phrase book. Leonard Green flew Lancasters with 50 and 61 Squadrons from RAF Skellingthorpe and completed 19 daylight and night time operations.
The collection has been loaned to the IBCC Digital Archive for digitisation by Mark Boother and catalogued by Nigel Huckins.

An account of the resource
Oblique aerial photograph taken at low level showing port facilities, buildings, rail sidings and several vessels. The port is Bremerhaven. In the centre two waterways separated by a spur of land covered with dockyard buildings and cranes. On the nearside of the spur is a camouflaged ship, with two funnels. This is the liner SS Europa. On the right of the waterways are more dockyard buildings and a dry dock with a small ship in it. In the foreground are open fields. At the top right are city buildings. Top centre a waterway flows past the city with a thin spur of land with dockyard buildings to the right. At top right is open water. No bomb damage is visible. On the reverse 'German port of Bremen, liner is Europa'.
