An oral history interview with Rosemary Lapham, the daughter of Roy Chadwick, family correspondence, congratulations on being honoured, personal documentation as well as photographs of family, acquaintances and aircraft. The collection also contains a thank you letter from Barnes Wallis to Roy Chadwick and a note from Arthur Harris to Robert Saundby about the in-feasibility of the Eder Möhne and Sorpe operation, some conceptual aircraft drawings and other mementos.
The collection has been loaned to the IBCC Digital Archive for digitisation by Rosemary Lapham and catalogued by Nigel Huckins.

We were very glad to receive your letter of the 5th my dear and to read your news
I’m sure that you would be glad to get a letter from Uncle Alan & thanks for sending on his birthday greetings
So you have a cubi for School Cert term, I think that it is a good idea as you have more privacy & comfort if you wish to retire & study.

We were most interested & pleased to hear that Elsa is to have a baby & hope that all goes well with her.
I will send the application form to Mrs Prior for the Summer Camp & note that you have sent the 5/- fee (booking).
The hens are doing well except No. 1. but I think that she is getting well again & soon will start to lay.

It was not Mrs Benns Mother but her brother who died it is most sad & we are very sorry indeed at the loss of such a fine young man, I enclose a cutting with his photo.

Mummy & I went to see “Black Narcissus” last night in Manchester it is a fine film & [underlined] British [/underlined] in Technicolour quite as good as any American I’m glad to say.
We are all very well at present & we hope that you are to [sic] my dear.
There is’nt [sic] any news really but Mummy & I will be coming over to see you soon, which is the best day Saturday or Sunday & what is the best time.
