Long fin extended forward along the top of the fuselage to give stability at great heights.&#13;

The Kittyhawk is the British version of the P-40D supplied to the U.S. Army. Powered with the latest Allison V-1710 motor 1,150 h.p. In appearance it is identical with the Tomahawk except in re-designed cockpit and slightly altered nose. Details of armament have not been released.&#13;

Dimensions. – Span, 37 ft. 3 1/2 in.; length, 31 ft 8 3/4 in.; height, 10 ft 9 in.; wing area, 236 sq. ft.; aspect ratio, 6.0.&#13;
