He was stationed at 11 Elementary Flying Training School RAF Perth, 34 Elementary Flying Training School RCAF Assiniboia, 4 Servcie Flying Training School RCAF Saskatoon, 3 (Pilots) Advanced Flying Unit RAF Bibury and RAF South Cerney, 26 Operational Training Unit RAF Wing, 1651 Heavy Conversion Unit RAF Wratting Common, 3 Lancaster Finishing School RAF Feltwell and 115 Squadron RAF Witchford. Aircraft flown in were Tiger Moth, Crane, Anson, Oxford, Wellington, Stirling and Lancaster. He flew a total of 7 night operations with 115 squadron. Targets were Courtrai, Le Mans, Duisburg, Dortmund, Boulogne, Calais and Lisieux.
