Evening 9.30.
I will write a [underlined] long [/underlined] letter on the [underlined] Trip [/underlined]
My Dearest Mother. xxx I am off on a trip in the morning thank goodness. Today I had 5 letters from home. One was No. 25 from you. Gosh you sure are a speedster now. I think I had better call you ‘[indecipherable word]’ from now on. My application for [underlined] “ops” [/underlined] has gone through so I am now hoping. I must do something a bit more active than I am now to stop myself from going bats with the heat etc. Thank you for the snaps they were great. Keep up the good work. I hope you are well & happy. I feel fine. Wouldn’t mind seeing you all however!!! Xxxxx I’m glad to hear the motor-bike has been mended. £22 isn’t a bad price! Lets [sic] keep it however. Pat might like it! Well I must pack now. Good night & God Bless you Mother dear.
