Observer's and air gunner's flying log book for James Darroch Crawford from 11 September 1943 to 1 June 1946. Details his training, operational duties and post conflict service. James served with 139 (Jamacia) and 627 Squadrons and flew 48 night time operations in Mosquito aircraft as navigator. Pilots were Flight Lieutenant Kaye, Flying Officer Jones, Squadron Leader Robins, Wing Commander Voyce, Squadron Leader Killpack, Flight Lieutenant Coke-Kerr, Flying Officer Calder, Flight Lieutenant Casset, Flight Lieutenant O'Grady and Flight Lieutenant Hazelhoff. Operations included Brunswick, Mannheim, Cologne, Hannover, Berlin, Osnabrück, Stuttgart, Nürnberg, Ludwigshafen, Merseburg-Leuna, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Kassel, Dortmund, Munster, Dessau, Stralsund and Kiel. James also took part in Siren's and Cook's Tours and Operation Spasm and was awarded the Path Finder Force badge.
