Edwin Jury’s Observer’s and Air Gunner’s Flying Log Book from 10th October 1942 until 20th April 1943. During this time trained as an air gunner. Trained at No. 2 Air Gunnery School and 1659 Heavy Conversion Unit, before being posted for operations to 419 Squadron (Royal Canadian Air Force). Failed to return from his 20th operation which was to Stettin.

Served at RAF Dalcross, RAF Leeming, RAF Middleton St. George.

Aircraft flown were Defiant, Halifax.

With 419 Squadron Jury flew, as an air gunner, 1 night minelaying and 19 night bombing operations, a total of 20 operations. His targets were Lorient, Friesian Islands, Hamburg, Turin, Wilhelmshaven, Cologne, St. Nazaire, Berlin, Essen, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Pilsen, Stettin.

His pilot on all operations was Sergeant Jackson.
