Navigator’s air bomber’s and air gunner’s flying log book for E Wilkinson, wireless operator, covering the period from 23 May 1943 to 15 May 1944 when he was lost on operations. He was stationed at 4 Radio School RAF Madley, 6 (Observer’s) Advanced Flying Unit RAF Staverton, 18 Operational Training Unit RAF Finningley, 1656 Heavy Conversion Unit RAF Lindholme and 625 Squadron RAF Kelstern. Aircraft flown in were Dominie, Proctor, Anson, Wellington, Halifax and Lancaster. He flew a total of 18 night operations with 625 squadron. Targets were Frankfurt, Berlin, Essen, Nuremberg, Rouen, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Karlsruhe, Friedrichshafen, Maintenon, Lyon, Mailly-le-Camp, Aubigne-Racan, Brussels, Merville, Dieppe and Kiel. His pilot on operations was Pilot Officer Beadle.
