A letter, written in response to an enquiry as to how Eric Boumphrey died.
It gives the date when Boumphrey's aircraft crashed and describes precisely the location. The letter further states that, according to the German authorities, his possessions would have been sent to the German Air Ministry in Berlin but the author doubts they will be seen again.
It goes on to say that there are only three other names known of the crew but that there were likely to have been more bodies under the wreckage.
