29 October, Still no news from home but all is well with him. Writes of family, was son talking, gossip about home life.
3 December, 18 weeks in captivity, still no letters or parcels. Member of his crew had received letter with news from home. Spending time designing future home. Comments on camp life and accommodation.
19 December, 21 weeks and received first letter from home. Relates news from home and expecting further letters soon. More family chat.
