Entries made by Harry during the period 24 March 1941 to 9 July 1944 and additional entries by Harry's wife Dot after he was killed. Describes training in Canada, part of a convoy to England, further training, postings, promotions and operations. He describes the weather, his relationship with Dot and time spent on station and on leave; writing letters, visits to chapel, watching films, sports played and books read. Harry provides updates on colleagues including Flight Sergeant Ernest Lee Lancaster, Flight Sergeant Charles Barry Sullivan and Flight Sergeant Frederick William Limbrick.
